How To Add Ricoh Scanner To Windows 10
My Ricoh multifunction is MP C2500 and the printer function works fine, only the scanner does non. The Ricoh "connects" to the PC, simply when I endeavor to scan, the mistake message is "Transmission has failed".
The consensus in the community is that Windows ten has stuffed up the SMB codes. Tin you tell me whether this error is probable to be fixed, or should I revert dorsum to Windows vii?

Hi,
When yous say "Transmission has failed"" is this the consummate error bulletin you are getting "Transmission has failed. Insufficient memory in the destination hard disk drive. To check the current status, press [Scanned Files Status]."?
If the above is the case then the solution given by Ricoh is to Allocate sufficient space.

We are having this issue also with a Ricoh multifunction motorcar. Our office computers are steadily upgrading to Windows 10 and those that take volition no longer accept a scanned file from the Ricoh MP C5000 via SMB. The link above is no longer working to check compatibility for this device. The total error bulletin in the scanner is "Transmission Failed". Windows 7 worked flawlessly to receive scanned documents via SMB to shared folders.

MPC2500, MPC3000, MPC4000 and MPC5000 simply has SMB hallmark level 1. Windows 10 and server 2012 is at present on level iii and so they are non compatible. Some older machines tin can have a firmware upgrade to enable SMB3 computability just that would require a Ricoh trained engineer to update. Besides you must have a password for your windows log in when using windows 10 and this volition have to be programed into the machines address book entry used for the scan file path. Windows 7 would allow you to simply apply the log in without a countersign. This may be true but non actually: Windows 10 and Server 2016 Support SMB 1, 2 AND 3. Yous tin can query with powershell and will run across that SMB1 is really running when Server 2016 is installed.
